Throughout its 25-year musical partnership, The Lost Melody – comprising native Vermont pianist Joe Davidian, bassist Jamie Ousley, and drummer Austin McMahon – has pursued the stylistic approach pioneered by the Bill Evans Trio in the 1960s: a balanced and equitable dialogue amongst its members. In homage to Evans on what would have been his 97th birthday, The Lost Melody delivers a soul-stirring performance, featuring the seminal artist’s timeless compositions and classic arrangements, plus originals dedicated to the beloved jazz master.
