Tony Jones and James Harvey have been working together since 1980, recording with Peter Apfelbaum's Hieroglyphics Ensemble as well as Don Cherry. Both also played with Cecil Taylor's West Coast group and the Creative Improvisers Orchestra and have collaborated as a duo and in small group settings. Tony's most recent CDs are with Pitch, Rhythm, and Consciousness as well as a duet with his wife Jessica Jones, Hearing Into the Future. He grew up in Berkeley, CA.
James Harvey’s CV includes work with such disparate artists as Professor Longhair, DJ Logic, Ray Vega, Karl Berger, and Jimmy Heath. Most Vermonters know him through his group, the H-Mob, and small bands with younger players like Gabe Jarrett, John Rivers, Jennifer Hartswick, and Nick Cassarino.
James Harvey was born in 1957 and grew up on Stowe Street and the family farm in Duxbury.
